alright treacle?!

So it’s a little late but here are the Valentines goodies I made for... well Valentine's day of course. I decided to make Nick a three course meal in the evening. Any excuse to cook something delicious and make everything look pretty!
I bought some cute dishes from Poundland (bargain!) to cook the treacle tarts in. I have to say they seemed a lot smaller on first glance in the shop. Once we got down to eating the tarts we realised the size was a little more substantial than we’d bargained for, resulting in very full bellies.
Here is the treacle tart recipe I used. The addition of slightly more lemon than I’ve used in the past made for a fresher taste. Yum!

love is sweet

I thought my first blog post called for a trip back to my wedding and all the stationary I worked on for that. I would have loved to have had even more time to go to town on designing the little details of the day but alas, poor health, a full time job and a commute got in the way. Work very kindly printed and embossed the invites and RSVPS, meaning I was swimming in a print run of 3,000 cards! Needless to say the invites doubled up as menus, order of service booklets and thank you cards. Recycle! Recycle!

I've developed a particular interest in wedding stationary ever since my wedding and was happy to be  given two very different wedding stationary projects from friends and family over the last few months so watch this space!

Hello! Welcome to my new little blog. I've been meaning to start a blog for well over a year now but I guess planning a wedding got in the way and... well... life got in the way. My lovely husband helped me put this space together so that I could finally have one place to put all my creations and inspirations. By day I work in the big smoke, designing greetings cards and the rest of the time I'm collecting ideas for new projects, sometimes without even knowing it. After getting married in September of last year, I am now living in a cosy, upstairs flat in Basingstoke with my new hubbie, Nick, and using every opportunity to use my creativity to bring a smile to the faces of people I know and love. So here’s my blog. Enjoy flicking through....
